Custom Flooring

Whether you’re building a new home or renovating rooms in your current one, flooring is one of the most essential elements you’ll choose. Our skilled contractors have experience installing hardwood, engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and tile floors from the industry’s top brands.

Choosing New Flooring

Durability: Will your new flooring be in a high-traffic area, like a hallway or near the front door? Floors in these spaces endure significantly more wear than in rooms you use less frequently.

Moisture Resistance: Kitchen and bathroom floors regularly experience moisture. Between cleaning spills during cooking and eating or water on the floor following a shower, these rooms must have flooring that can handle moisture.

Cost: Sometimes, the flooring you prefer isn’t within your budget. In this case, we encourage you to choose a less expensive material with a similar appearance, like luxury vinyl plank, instead of hardwood.

Pet Friendly: Dogs, cats, and other pets are valued family members, but their nails can damage hardwood flooring. Consider engineered hardwood or luxury vinyl plank if you're a pet parent.

Aesthetic: What do you want the look and feel of a room to be? Tile flooring is elegant but can be too stark for intimate spaces like living rooms.

How Much Does New Flooring Cost?

The final cost for new flooring depends on the material and square footage. We accept several payment methods, including cash, checks, wire transfers, Venmo, Cash App, and credit or debit cards. Plummer’s Contracting offers fair, competitive pricing and guarantees that our work will exceed every standard. We have estimates for various types of flooring:

Hardwood Flooring: $4-$13 per square foot

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring: $1-$5 per square foot

Tile Flooring: $1.50-$8.25 per square foot

Popular Types of Flooring

Tile

This broad flooring category includes many materials cut into tiles. We can glaze tiles for added shine and durability and lay them in interesting patterns to form mosaics. The most common types of tile used for flooring include:

Ceramic, Porcelain, Glass, Cement, Marble, and Granite

Hardwood

Hardwood floors use solid planks of wood nailed to the subfloor. They make your home feel warm and welcoming and can increase its value. Properly maintained hardwood flooring can last as long as 100 years and allow you to refinish them several times.

Engineered Hardwood

Instead of using single planks of solid wood, engineered wood floors use planks with plywood cores and a thin layer of hardwood on top. This makes them a more cost-effective flooring choice that will last many years, but you cannot refinish engineered hardwood.

Luxury Vinyl Plank

Unlike standard vinyl flooring that comes in rolls, LVP flooring uses individual planks that are thicker and more durable. It absorbs sound to improve a room’s acoustics and holds warmth better than other solid flooring, making it more comfortable to walk on while barefoot.

How Soon Can You Install My New Flooring?

Every job is different, and we allow additional time for the unexpected, such as a shipping delay or illness. You can install new flooring anytime, but installation during months with lower relative humidity is ideal. Spring and fall are optimal because they tend to have milder weather conditions than summer or winter. We generally schedule jobs between one and three months after you contact us. This also allows you to ensure you don’t have any scheduling conflicts, like important events, that will take place during the installation.

Do You Offer a Warranty?

Plummer’s Contracting is fully licensed and insured. We offer a one-year warranty on all work we complete, and extended warranties are available for purchase. If you have questions or concerns at any point during your flooring installation or in the future, don’t hesitate to contact us. We will never dodge your calls because we are confident in the quality of our work.
